We are looking for an experienced CAD Operator with excellent design and drafting skills.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of AutoCAD experience in crane layouts, planning, and rigging details. The successful candidate must have experience in rigging methodology, crane sizing, understand ground bearing pressure, have the ability to calculate rigging loads, centers of gravity, and steel weights based on drawings.
• Must be able to accurately interpret customer drawings for such things as Pressure Vessels, structural details, plot plans and create AutoCAD renditions.
• The team member must be able to generate accurate AutoCAD drawings with all details needed to complete a successful lift in the field.
• As a design team member, you will work directly with the Engineering Team and be a key person for lift plan development, lift plan details and rigging details, reporting to the Engineering Manager.
• The candidate will travel to field locations to obtain measurements on occasion and be able to obtain information to accurately layout crane locations.
• The candidate will interface with Project Managers, Sales, Management, Customers, Vendors and Technical Team.
• May have to produce fabrication drawings for steel constructed equipment.

• AutoCAD 2013 or later
• 3D Lift Planner
• Excel Programming
• MS Word
• MS PowerPoint
• Good math skills
• Good reasoning ability
• Good communication skills in speaking and writing
• Rigging and Crane certifications are a plus
• TWIC Card is good to have

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit at a computer, read computer screens, and input information for long periods of time. Sharing office space is a possibility. Some light travel could be required. Must be able to move about office as needed. Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds.

Salary: Starting rate $80,000 Annually
