Job description

As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the clinic. You will support doctors, nurses, physician assistants and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care, post-op clinic, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and document basic medical history
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Update and file medical records
• Check with patients and write notes during examinations
• Assist the Doctor during medical examinations
• Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
• Room patients and monitor clinic flow
• Assist in the OR as needed

Skills

• Proven working experience as a registered medical assistant or certified medical assistant in a clinic setting.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Degree in medical assistance preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
