Postdoc/research associate in Microbiology/Chemistry at Virginia Tech
About the position: Prof. Zhaomin Yang (Biological Sciences) and Prof. Webster Santos (Chemistry) at Virginia Tech are jointly recruiting a Postdoctoral or Research Associate to conduct translational and basic research on bacterial type IV pilus. The ideal candidate is expected to have the following qualifications: 1) peer-reviewed first-author publications, 2) the ability to work independently and collaboratively, 3) strong communication skills, and 4) high self-motivation. Requirements includes an advanced degree in microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemical biology, chemistry or a related field. Preference may be given to applicants with experiences in enzymology, drug discovery and omics.
