Our highly respected precision metal stamping company is seeking a Manufacturing Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team. As a Manufacturing Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the Stamping & Molding manufacturing teams to ensure production goals are met while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in molding, high-volume precision metal stamping, and be an expert in driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Shift Schedule: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage a team of Stamping & Molding operators, and die setters, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve optimal performance.
• Plan and organize the daily activities of the stamping & molding teams to ensure efficient and effective operation of the stamping department.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the stamping & molding manufacturing teams, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Develop and maintain standard work instructions and ensure adherence to established manufacturing procedures.
• Ensure all production processes are conducted in accordance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Ensure regular improvement of measurable goals such as reduced tooling downtime, improved first hit performance, reduced operating costs, etc.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and resolve issues.
• Monitor production metrics, identify areas for improvement, and develop and implement action plans to improve performance.
• Lead root cause analyses and develop corrective actions to resolve production issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing principles and tools to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase profitability.
• Participate in the development and implementation of new products and processes.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, and suppliers.
• Generate reports on team safety, performance, production efficiency, and quality control.
• Manage and maintain stamping equipment, ensuring that it is in good working order.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering discipline (or related field), with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a metal stamping manufacturing environment (or equivalent), and 2 years of leadership.
• H.S. Graduate, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience within a metal stamping manufacturing environment (or equivalent), and 5 years of leadership.
• Strong technical knowledge of the stamping & molding manufacturing processes, including tooling design, die development, and press operations.
• Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing principles and tools.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analyses and develop corrective actions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MES systems (Plex preferred, but not required).
• Project management experience, including the ability to develop project plans, and timelines.
