What You Will Be Doing
In this role, we are looking for a strong candidate who is skilled in welding/brazing of Ultra-low temperature cryogenic products (including dilution refrigerator systems and He-3 cryostats). The duties of this role include:
- Mechanical assembly and weld/braze of multi-step weldment per documentation
- Welding, soft-soldering, and torch brazing of different materials including copper, brass, aluminum, and stainless steel
- Fabrication, Cutting, Trimming, and Bending of metal tubes with various stop tools and equipment
- Clean, align, dry-fit parts and make small alterations for best fit
- Surface preparation materials including sanding, buffing, and polishing with manual &power equipment
- Visually inspect components and weldments
What You Need for this Position
- 2+ Years of Experience in Welding
- High School Diploma, Technical/Trade School
- Experience welding thin gauge stainless steel (0.020-0.030") and aluminum (0.050")
- Experience with TIG Welding and Torch Brazing
- Ability to read 2D assembly drawings and 3D CAD models
- Ability to read Bill of Material and search for parts
- Strong experience in Microsoft Office products
