Forensic Engineer
Position Summary:
Florida's largest Indoor Air Quality company is further expanding its multi-state Engineering department and looking to recruit an ambitious, dedicated, and capable full-time Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. This person will serve as the engineer on record who is assigned to oversee and often times perform property damage assessments as it relates to determining the scope and origin and cause of the damages for residential and commercial projects alike.
Status: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Follow safety guidelines for all projects. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Perform inspections of residential and commercial buildings to determine the root cause of damage or failure.
- Determine the cause, origin, extent of damage, water intrusions, roof damage, construction defects and building system failures.
- Apply engineering principals in compliance with industry standard.
- Review or draft, sign, and seal forensic engineering reports detailing findings, providing analysis, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Conference with representatives and explain reports or findings, as required.
- Site inspections, as needed.
- Provide expert testimony under deposition and/or trial, as needed.
General Qualifications:
- Active Professional Engineer License in the State of Florida.
- Professional writing and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word & Adobe PDF.
- General technological proficiency.

- Self-starter with good verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to learn and acquire new knowledge and skills quickly
- Above average organizational skills
- Capable of multi-tasking effectively
- Ability to work independently
