How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Learning Program Manager is responsible for learning & development priorities of the region business and facilitation of the assigned corporate and/or division development programs. Responsibilities include planning, coordination, delivery, compliance, record keeping, measurement, and evaluation of learning programs in alignment with company priorities. The Learning Program Manager (LPM) actively partners with the HR leadership (Sr. Manager L&D and HRD), the business, and other Learning Program Managers and Learning Coordinator, in identifying, aligning, planning, facilitating the learning and development needs of the organization aligned with the business priorities.

Delivers learning priorities and plans in region, as well as assigned divisional programs. Provides input into learning priorities of region and division. Serves as a liaison between the L&D team and region team communicating any changes to the business and aligning L&D needs where appropriate.

Facilitates and/or program manages a broad range of training and development programs and topics including but not limited to supervisor/ leadership development, operations development, customer service, new employee orientation, on the job training (OJT), product training, and systems training.

Plans, organizes, and schedules all logistics for training and development programs including reserving space, lodging, food, materials, communications, etc. working with approved vendors.

Responsible for partnering with the L&D Coordinator to initiate, track, monitor and report associate training through Airgas University, ensuring it reflects both company-wide and position-specific curriculum for operations and non-operations based positions as well as management and non-management. Provides input and guidance to L&D Coordinator to facilitate position specific curriculum in conjunction with the associate’s manager.

Closely partners with people leaders and HR leadership to ensure onboarding success for new associates, as well as people leaders engagement and responsibility in L&D programs (dev. Programs, immersion, etc.).

Acts as back-up to L&D Coordinator for purposes of assigning, tracking and reporting on Corporate, Division and/or Region-specific training (i.e. Code of Ethics, Workplace Harassment). This may include creating courses/programs centered on talent and leadership development to include the development of interactive e-learning courses to support learning objectives.

Identifies and develops plans to address learning needs of business, working with key HR (HRD, Sr. L&D Mgr) and business stakeholders. Provides guidance to HRBPs and managers on the creation of learning objectives and content to support objectives through challenging assignments, developmental relationships, and coursework and training.

Provides performance development and consulting services with HR to the business. Develops tools for Individual Development Plans (IDP’s) and coaches HRBPs and managers on their use.

Stays recent on new and innovative programs across the Company and/or on the market meeting a specific business need or gap.

Are you a MATCH?

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development/ Behavior, Business or related field. In lieu of degree, consideration for up to 4 years of additional related experience may be accepted.

A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in the program coordination, planning, training facilitation & delivery, and evaluation of learning and development initiatives and programs.

Demonstrated success in facilitation and delivery of learning content, understanding different learning styles and ability to engage a diverse audience.
-
Knowledge of distance/blended learning techniques including needs assessment; distance learning training materials; training delivery, platform skills, and follow-up assessment techniques.

Knowledge of Learning & Development (L&D) technology tools to improve customer and personal productivity.

Knowledge of adult learning theory and evaluation; training delivery, platform skills, and follow-up assessment techniques.

Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines, with efficient and effective execution.

Must have excellent organizational, written and oral communication, listening and presentation skills including the ability to effectively present and discuss information and respond to questions from employees and managers.

Ability to navigate effectively in a matrix reporting organization.

Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and/or Google applications.

Occasional travel, including overnight.

Must have reliable, appropriate transportation.

Lives by Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures which are applicable to this position’s responsibilities.
