We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Westwego, LA. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring successful project execution. While candidates from any degreed discipline are welcome to apply, individuals with a background in mechanical, process, or electrical engineering, particularly within the petrochemical industry, are preferred.

About the Position:
- Facilitates and contributes to the development of project plans and designs.
- Oversees field construction.
- Recommends and/or analyzes company practices/procedures used in the project.
- Evaluates progress of projects.
- Collaborates with design group to change plans if problems arise.
- Prepares periodic progress and cost reports for leadership.
- Provides monthly & end of year forecasts for projects.
- Work closely with Operations & Maintenance for project design reviews.
- Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/ Abilities:
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and standards.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry codes.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a detail-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (any discipline), with preference given to candidates with a background in mechanical, process, or electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional engineering experience, with a focus on the petrochemical industry. Slightly less experience may be considered if all experience is within the petrochemical industry.
