Haugland Group, a privately-owned Long Island, New York-based electrical and heavy civil construction company has an immediate need for a dedicated P6 Scheduler with 10+ years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management. The individual will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects working closely with seasoned industry professionals. The position will be based out of our main office in Melville, NY.

Key Functions

• Develop, review, and maintain schedules for assigned major and/or multi‐year project(s) throughout the lifecycle and development phases based on the information provided by various disciplines and customers
• Responsible for the overall schedule tracking, monitoring, and reporting efforts to ensure major and/or multi‐year project(s) and/or program(s) are completed on schedule
• Create cost and resource loaded scheduling and incorporate into project schedule
• Review schedule status and provide timely updates to internal Project Managers and clients
• Present schedule related information and feedback to the Project team including the owner and subcontractors
• Analyze schedule impacts and recommend necessary corrective actions to be taken to avoid cost and schedule overruns
• Assess project objectives and ensure long term and short-term goals are being met
• Schedule data gathering, schedule updates, and data analysis to measure and report progress (e.g. earned value, schedule performance index), plan near or long-term activities, and forecast project completion
• Prepare and present results, alternatives, and/or recommendations to support business decisions, to manage project costs and schedules, and to mitigate potential risks to assigned major and/or multi‐year projects and/or programs

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• 10+ years of construction scheduling experience
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Demonstrated knowledge, ability and experience with Microsoft software, especially advance Excel proficiency
• Demonstrated experience with Project Controls and Scheduling software (e.g. Primavera P6)
• Demonstrated experience in Project Management, Project Controls, and/or Construction Management, or equivalent experience
• Schedule data gathering, schedule updates, and data analysis to measure and report progress (e.g. earned value, schedule performance index), plan near or long-term activities, and forecast project completion
