Summary of Job Duties:
The SEAR Collegiate Recovery Specialist will report to the SEAR Program Coordinator.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- GED, Highschool Diploma
- Currently Certified as an Arkansas Core Peer Recovery Specialist according to the rules and regulations of the Arkansas Peer Recovery Program, or eligible to receive certification with 18 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Social Work, Psychology, or relevant field from an accredited institution of higher education
- At least two years of peer recovery work-related experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Working knowledge of a Collegiate Recovery Community on a college campus
- Strong knowledge of substance use and recovery related topics
- Ability to analyze problems, conduct research, implement solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with grant management
- Strong work ethic with ability to adhere to appropriate ethical guidelines
- Demonstrative and effective communication skills (written and verbal).
- Demonstrated commitment to multiculturalism and diversity
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work as part of a highly cohesive and interdisciplinary team
- Ability to work a flexible and varied schedule including some evening and weekend hours
Additional Information:
This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.
