Responsibilities

• Taking phone and walk up reservations for nature tours and recreational programs
• Ensure safety and enjoyment of all participants
• Assisting with accounting
• Helping to maintain organization and cleanliness of the Heron Park Center
• Organizing and stocking the retail shop
• Bicycle rentals
• All other duties, as assigned.

Directly Reports To Heron Park Center/Supervisors and Manager

Job Qualifications:

• Rising or Graduating College Seniors or Juniors
• Guest Service Experience
• Basic Computer Skills in Windows
• Basic Telephone Skills and Communication Skills
• Organization and efficiency
• Ability to multi-task
• General interest in Ecology and our natural world
• Exceptional verbal communication skills
• Enthusiastic and energetic personality
• Ability to communicate in English to management, co-workers, and to the guests
• Ability to be flexible and quickly respond to guest needs
• Ability to provide legible communication
• Ability to use Micros and manual systems
• Ability to utilize Micros, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word

Essential physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift minimum weight of 20lbs and capable of working consecutive hours sitting or standing.
