Regional Sales Manager

Job Summary:


The Regional Sales Manager will work as an integral part of the sales department to help support existing customers and prospect regularly for new business. The position has a direct responsibility for selling imaging solutions to dealers, distributors, end-users and OEM’s. This role will be tasked with identifying, pursuing, and closing sales for all Navitar’s imaging product offerings and technology services.

Description


  • Accelerate the growth of the company by prospecting for new business, developing and exploring new inbound opportunities, and expanding existing accounts
  • Consistently build an effective pipeline and execute on each phase of the sales process.
  • Consistently qualify, generate, and execute opportunities that provide profitable revenue to Navitar
  • Incorporate knowledge of our products and services, the customer, and key competitors into the sales process and use that knowledge to uncover customer needs and create value-based solutions
  • Sell at all levels with a technical focus, based on a consultative sales process
  • Accurately forecast your business on a regular basis
  • Recognize market needs and opportunities, creating a sustainable competitive advantage
  • Grow sales in existing accounts by introducing new products and services, developing new applications
  • Meet with current and potential customer to address needs, identify requirements, and establish strategic contacts
  • Follow up on leads and existing customer contacts to develop new projects and close business
  • Contribute information to our market strategy by monitoring competitive products and providing feedback
  • Maintain Salesforce database records for all accounts, leads, and opportunities
  • Travel to meetings, appointments and trade events


Requirements:


  • Bachelor of Science Degree. Engineering, Physics, or a related a plus
  • 1-2 years’ experience in B2B technology sales, customer development, and internal project management
  • Working knowledge of marketing concepts, contract development, negotiation strategies, and project management techniques also desired
  • Use of a consultative selling approach, ability to ask strategic questions to discover areas of need
  • The ability to learn and apply fundamental optical and vision system related principles
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience collaborating directly with multidisciplinary engineering staffs to provide customer service solutions
  • Excellent or and written communication skills across geographic borders
  • Travel 10-30%
  • A background in industrial camera’s, machine vision, or microscopy is desirable but not required
