Job Description

The Opportunity:

We are hiring a registered nurse for our Emergency Department Float Pool.

Shift Details:

This is a full time mid shift position that will float between all 4 main hospital locations in Lee’s Summit, Overland Park, North Kansas City, and Plaza areas. Schedules are written 8 – 10 weeks in advance.

The Work:

• Functions independently and accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
• Coordinates the care for a group of patients with the Multidisciplinary Team.
• Delegates tasks appropriately.
• Identifies hospital resources.
• Serves as a clinical resource for new employees.
• Demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within unit or department.

Applicable Experience:

2 years

Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Pediatric Advanced Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Trauma Nurse Core Course - Emergency Nurse Association
