ROTOFLOW® – NEW EQUIPMENT PROPOSAL MANAGER

Rotoflow® is a full-service turbomachinery OEM providing a wide range of new equipment solutions and aftermarket services to our customers globally. For over 75 years, Rotoflow® has created efficient and highly reliable standard and custom-engineered turbomachinery used in market segments such as hydrogen, industrial gases, petrochemicals, and hydrocarbons. Products include compressor loaded turbo-expanders, generator-loaded power recovery expanders, and low-cost dissipative expanders used in both cryogenic and warm gas applications.

We are seeking a New Equipment Proposal Engineer to join us in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where you will be responsible for evaluating and sizing equipment in support of bid proposals for world-class machinery solutions. You will help create proposals for packaged equipment and accessory systems to satisfy the needs of both internal business areas and external customers. By focusing on meeting customer expectations and optimizing cost, performance, and reliability, your proposal generation will enhance the competitive position of Rotoflow®.

Proposal managers have the ability to grow and develop their career and take on increasing responsibilities working in a team having a wealth of technical experience. Your efforts will directly impact customer experience and have influence on product development while interacting with internal and external partners to grow a world-class machinery design business.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Uphold the Rotoflow® safety and diversity philosophies.
• Generate customer facing proposal documents for delivery to internal customers or sales/business development managers for external customers
• Provide technical review of application requirements for standard and non-standard equipment supply proposals
• Ensure aerodynamic and mechanical designs meet process specific requirements in the selection of equipment
• Lead initial technical risk evaluations to identify risks, step outs, mitigating actions, and fallback strategies
• Maintain effective relationships with all work team members, customers and suppliers as needed
• Support continuous improvement activities for improving and maintaining sales estimate tools, work processes, and procedures.
• Generate product cost analysis based on application requirements and enable cost reductions by incorporating execution efficiencies into proposals

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Degree in engineering or related technical degree preferred with proficiency in mechanical and aerodynamic concepts for turbomachinery a plus
• Experience in proposal generation with knowledge of API 613/614/617/670 and related industry and petrochemical standards beneficial
• Strong organization, leadership, time management and teamwork skills
• Thorough, goal oriented, organized, creative, self-motivated, collaborative and customer focused,
• A passion for winning with excellent interpersonal skills (written, verbal and presentation),
• Excellent analytical, creativity, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work and motivate engineers, technicians, suppliers in shop, office, and field environments
• Ability to prioritize and manage project commitments while driving multiple proposals and other activities through interaction with various internal and external functional areas.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Estimated average annual travel typically less than 5%
• Ability to create an environment of trust and consistently exhibit a positive attitude.
