School Psychologists in Lemont, Illinois
- School Psychologist (4th/5th Grades)
- School Psychologist (PreK-1st Grades) Start Date: August 14th Contract Duration: 10 Months
We are currently seeking two dedicated and passionate School Psychologists to join our team for the upcoming school year in Lemont, Illinois. As School Psychologists, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the academic and social-emotional well-being of students. One position will be responsible for a caseload consisting of 4th and 5th-grade students, while the other position will work with PreK-1st grade students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations to assess students' strengths and areas of need.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and interventions.
- Support the implementation of school-wide positive behavior support systems.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop appropriate interventions.
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
- Advocate for students and promote a positive and inclusive school environment.
Requirements:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Valid Illinois State Educator License with a School Psychologist endorsement.
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist preferred, but new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills, including experience with cognitive and behavioral assessments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Commitment to promoting students' academic success and well-being.
