Job description for seasonal cemetery groundskeeper

Primary Objection of the Position

The primary objective of this position is to assist the full-time staff with miscellaneous groundskeeping duties as assigned by the Grounds Manager.

Scope of Responsibilities

The major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Trim around monuments, trees, shrubs, etc. with a push mower

2. Trim with the use of weed-eater

3. Water newly sodded graves.

4. Weed flower beds.

5. Clean windows and vacuum carpet in chapels.

6. Responsible for picking up garbage that is discarded in the ditch area in front of the cemeteries.

7. Perform duties as assigned by the Grounds Manager.

Performance Requirements

1. Ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds.

2. Possess general knowledge of the geography of Assumption and Calvary cemeteries.

3. Ability to work with minimal supervision.

4. Ability to push a mower or week-eat up to six or seven hours a day.

Probationary Period

The probationary period is two weeks from the date of hire.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Saint Cloud, MN 56301: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
