- This position is responsible for the successful planning and execution of technology-based projects as assigned by leadership, which includes integration of various EMRs via a third-party platform to agilon’s IT platform.
- In this role, you are responsible for executing on all technology related deliverables independently or as a member or a larger team; collaborating with market, partner and technology resources; ensuring deliverables are organized and completed on time; educating partner resources on the objectives of the efforts and ensure implementation is successful.
- Projects may be moderately to highly complex and will involve hands-on work with resources throughout agilon IT Product and Technical Services, business leaders, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Key functional domains include data exchange, HCC / RAF methodology, HEDIS / STAR quality measures, practice management and EMR integrations and associated performance analytics to identify opportunities to maximize the utility of the platform.
- The Implementation Specialist – New Market Implementation will be responsible for leading all IT related tasks in new market implementations. This resource will be an expert on the platform functionality and assist end users with successful use of the solution, identification of system deficits and ensure proper use of the functionality across various domains. In addition, this resource will support functionality testing, assist with documentation and training.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for establishing and following project and program management techniques and processes applicable to technology projects.
- Document application functions, test scenarios, use cases and requirements.
- Analyze complex problems, derive options and solutions and present in an understandable manner to business users, developers, testers and other product analysts at multiple levels.
- Act as a liaison with technology and business unit subject matter experts in support of agilon health’s platform implementation.
- Implement new market data exchanges, collaborate with new partner IT to meet requirements, perform data analytics and mining to ensure data accuracy.
- Create data mapping documentation to support technical implementation, oversee delivery, test and review with customer.
- Identify opportunities to further leverage technology to best support business objectives.
- Document requirements and facilitate review of concepts.
- Develop and update technical documentation.
- Support physicians and office staff in understanding and achieving their goals within the Risk Bearing Entity.
- Responsible for end-to-end management of technology projects and programs, including multiple simultaneous projects.
- Manage the full project life cycle including clarifying objectives and priorities, gathering requirements, creating project plans (deliverables, metrics, timelines, owners), obtaining and managing resources, managing budgets, and facilitating project execution, deployment, monitoring, and closure.
- Create and maintain status documents for programs and projects, for use by management reporting, and company monitoring.
- Negotiate with project stakeholders to identify resources, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.

Required Qualifications:
- Experience with SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- 2 years’ experience implementing software applications in the health care field.
- 2 years’ experience as a Business Systems / Technical / Product Analyst role.
- 3 years’ experience with EDI and data analysis.
- 2-3 years’ experience with MA risk adjustment and/or HEDIS STAR software.
- Analytically minded with problem solving aptitude.
- Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent work experience.

- Ability to be a team player and exercise initiative in responding to requests and concerns in a helpful and courteous manner Comprehensive understanding of the health care industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and telephone communication skills are required.
- Exercise attention to detail Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision, multi-task, complete projects in a timely fashion and meet deadlines a must.

- Language Skills: Strong communication skills both written and verbal to work with multiple internal and external clients in a fast-paced environment.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Computer Skills: Ability to create and maintain documents using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
