IT Procurement Specialist II

Job Purpose

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for the overall life cycle of IT procurement requests and vendor needs. This position works with the IT Extended Management team and Legal Department for the review and approval of all IT related contracts according to Corporate Governance.

Proactively executes requisitions, price quotes, creates purchase orders, and submits Capital Expenditure requests. Manages procurement activities related to IT contracts, invoices, funding requests and purchase orders according to terms defined in the agreement inclusive of NDAs and MSAs. Ensures that contracts are executed according to their commitments and manages escalations related to agreements. Works with leaders within the organization to proactively manage procurement lead times. Creates and manages reports related to procurement performance metrics and resolves any performance outliers. Determines required contract approval authority and workflow of approvers/reviewers pursuant to corporate governance.

Conducts industry best practices research through a professional network and continued education regarding IT Procurement & Contract Management. Identifies opportunities and recommends continuous process improvement strategies, sets goals, and creates documentation, and educates departmental team members on updated processes and procedures. Leverages Lean practices to reduce waste and improve processes for workflow efficiency.

Builds and maintains vendor catalog with specific profiles, reporting and inclusive of vendor services and performance. Develops QBR for vendor services and goods to ensure they meet the standards of contractual agreements.

Provides guidance and mentors to internal and external team members on contract issues or questions and educates team members on contract policies and procedures. Assists management with procurement and contract tasks as needed.

  • Experience working with PeopleSoft Financials (PO’s, Invoices, Payment)

  • Proven experience with process automation
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload, adhere to deadlines
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service-has extreme ownership
  • Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret contractual language

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred
