The Pet Segment of Central Garden & Pet is looking for a 2nd shift Warehouse Lead to join the C&S Products (North Plant) division located in Fort Dodge, IA. This position will report to the Warehouse Manager and is a "working lead" role. Responsibilities include providing direction and leadership to warehouse personnel, ensuring adequate training, maintaining operational procedures, resolving problems, incorporating shop floor organization, managing equipment maintenance, understanding and supporting the department's objectives, and complying with safety rules and company policies. The ideal candidate should possess previous computer experience with SAP software, Excel, Microsoft Work, Outlook Express, the ability to analyze and propose solutions, work well under pressure, have effective communication, and be able to handle multiple projects. Additionally, must have a solid organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work in a constant state of alertness and safety. Working conditions include plant environment with periodic visits to the office area, variable temperatures, hours of 4:00 pm to 2:00 am, and variable overtime and special projects.
