Job Summary: Sizer School, a North Central Charter Essential School, is seeking a driven, dynamic and experienced educator to be a part of an instructional team in our school. Ideally, this candidate will bring a passion for supporting and implementing best instructional practices, wrap around student support services, a love for all students in grades 7-12, a commitment to further promote an already existing positive collaborative environment and build and strengthen external partnerships. Only those candidates with a deep passion for the Sizer School mission and ready to teach in and be a part of an exemplary, innovative public middle/high school need apply.Responsibilities: * Teach Spanish I and II sections with a focus on language fluency and literacy* Actively participate in the work of the school, including innovative curriculum development, project-based learning, and assessment* Utilize and integrate technology and multimedia modalities to enhance instruction and student learning* Communicate proactively and effectively with students, faculty, and parents/guardians* Provide frequent, constructive, objective, and prompt feedback to students* Promote the learning and growth of all students by providing high-quality and coherent instruction that is culturally proficient* Design units of instruction with measurable outcomes and challenging tasks * Demonstrate instructional practices that establish high expectations, create a safe and effective classroom environment, and demonstrate cultural proficiency* Adapt instruction, materials, and assessments to make challenging material accessible to all students, including English learners and students with disabilities* Promote the learning and growth of all students through effective partnerships * Act as an advisor to a group of students and shape curriculum and practice to support the whole student* Reflect on the effectiveness of lessons, units, and interactions with students, both individually and with colleagues, and use insights gained to improve practice and student learning* Participate in school-wide and subject specific professional development and grade level team times* Other responsibilities as assignedSIZER SCHOOLSizer School is located in Fitchburg, MA, draws from cities and towns in North Central Massachusetts, and is chartered to serve 400 students in grades 7-12.
