Amazon Pay Account Management
Job Description:

The Amazon Pay Account Management team is made up of passionate, creative, customer-obsessed leaders, strategically focused on ways to deliver growth to the Amazon Pay business and improve retention of our most valued merchant customers. Amazon Pay is seeking an experienced, customer-obsessed account management professional to lead a portfolio of our top revenue generating merchants. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing programs that help Amazon Pay forge deeper relationships with our merchants and leverage the powerful assets of Amazon to create new value propositions that deliver growth to our merchants’ businesses. The Account Manager will champion the Voice of the Customer to influence new product innovation and build marketing programs that drive product adoption and increase payment volume for the portfolio.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to assigned portfolio of Enterprise size merchants, including upselling products and services that align to your merchant’s unique goals and objectives.
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of the current and feature functionality of Amazon Pay to identify and execute new opportunities, analyze portfolio trends, diagnose issues affecting merchant's business performance, and create actionable plans for operational improvements.
  • Represent the merchant effectively within Amazon Pay by understanding their business needs, product, process and system requirements to influence and define Amazon Pay product feature and functionality and process changes, and partner closely with internal and external cross-functional teams to guide the direction of our product offerings.
  • Partner with internal and external teams and other Amazon services to align programs and initiatives to drive growth (identify opportunities to cross-sell Amazon Marketplace, AWS, Fulfillment by Amazon, Amazon Advertising, Alexa, etc.).
  • Build and deliver marketing engagements with merchants in the portfolio.
  • Build a wide, multi-level relationship between the merchant organization and Amazon Pay, and deliver regular business reviews with the merchant that addresses key business issues and helps progress mutual goals.
  • Proactively analyze portfolio trends to mitigate potential merchant performance issues, and help surface/scale operational improvements to retain and protect the existing portfolio payment volume.
  • Maintain relevant merchant records in Salesforce, and report on portfolio status and performance to make portfolio value and risks visible to internal stakeholders.

  • Experience using analytical, sales, and productivity tools including Salesforce, Tableau, Microsoft OneNote, and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Experience with building and leading go to market product launches
  • Delivered a Customer Success framework to a portfolio of merchants.
  • Has worked in the eCommerce and or financial technology industry.
