The Mammography/General Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures; reviews all necessary documentation related to the procedures and performs related clinical and administrative duties.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Demonstrated interest in meeting patient needs and assuring patient satisfaction.
- Operating knowledge of radiographic equipment.
- Performs all diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures within assigned area, including Mammography.
- Reviews all necessary documentation to perform diagnostic procedures.
- Performs preventative visual and manual inspections for each radiographic room/equipment assigned ensuring appropriate maintenance and cleanliness.
- Performs related clinical and clerical duties associated with the patient procedure.
- Assists in the managing of the radiographic procedures through the coordination of resources, to facilitate optimal efficiency. Assures that the procedures performed are in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Performs warm up calibration procedures necessary to ready the equipment for patient imaging.
- Contributes to a positive climate and open communication for a team approach.
Requirements and Qualification:
- ARRT (RT)(R)(M) and CT State License required
- College degree preferred
- 1-3+ years’ experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and team work skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in fast paced, customer oriented highly professional environment
- Ability to establish and maintain mutually supportive, productive working relationships with colleagues, staff, and physicians
- Demonstrated ability to learn on the job
