Located throughout the New Jersey Counties of Passaic, Morris and Sussex, we provide professionally based social services, including Behavioral Health Programs, Veterans Services, Children’s Programs, Senior and Aging Services and much more.

Vaccine Program Outreach Worker (Temporary May 2023-April 2024-grant funded position)

Hours: Full Time Hours Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:30am - 4:30pm

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Assist in all aspects of the National Council on Aging Vaccine Uptake Initiative, including disseminating accurate information on vaccines, coordinating vaccination clinics with community partners, and scheduling vaccine appointments for seniors and those with disabilities.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Identify, educate, and connect/schedule seniors and those with disabilities for vaccine appointments.

2. Provide seniors and those with disabilities support and guidance on the importance of vaccines.

3. Create and disseminate accurate information on the benefits of being vaccinated.

4. Coordinate and schedule with city and county health departments for vaccination clinics at CFCS locations, in senior centers, and in county buildings.

5. Travel throughout Morris, Passaic, and Sussex counties.

6. Network with other agencies and partners to ensure knowledge of beneficial resources for all consumers, make referrals as appropriate.

7. Work cooperatively with Executive Director, Data Management Specialist, and additional Vaccine Program Outreach Workers to enter program data in the Cumulus Data Management System.

8. Report any accident or unusual occurrence to the Director or Director’s designee before the end of the scheduled workday.

9. Carry out all tasks as requested by the Director or Director’s Designee

10. Responsible for other duties that may be assigned from time to time to support the effective and efficient operation of Catholic Charities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.) Must possess current driver’s license in good standing.

2.) Must possess good reasoning, time management, and comprehension and communication skills.

3.) Must hold a High School Diploma or equivalent experience.

4.) Basic computer skills.

5.) Bilingual Spanish.
