What’s the job?
We are seeking a Warehouse Assistant to provide support to the Warehouse Manager in activities such as data entry, receiving, shipping and inventory control within SAP. This role will also provide on-site administrative HR representation to complete administrative tasks for all hourly employees in the Warehouse with the oversight of the offsite HR Manager.
The primary responsibility of this position is to monitor all Inbound and outbound traffic throughout the facility to minimize wait times for loading and unloading and process material movement transactions in SAP with a very high level of accuracy.
Job duties include but not limited to:
- Participates in Cycle Counting tasks including reconciliation to ensure accurate Inventory Levels are maintained in SAP in both the Inventory and Bin Level.
- Processes return shipments from customers.
- Maintain Department Efficiency reports, organize and file shipping and receiving documents.
- Support and Maintain Warehouse stock location system and code dates to ensure proper inventory turns and adherence to FIFO principles.
- Processes Customer Shipments using the outbound process flow in SAP that will ensure optimal location loading, efficient manpower usage and accurate inventory transactions.
- Follows the Logistics Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensures Max Weight on Outbound Trucks is met.
- Actively troubleshoots Order Issues with SAP
- Creates BOL’s documents
- Receives Incoming Finished Goods and verifies accuracy using SAP system.
- Provides general Customer Service to Customers and Transportation providers
- Works with Inventory System to create reports and analytical information required to resolve issues with Orders and Inventory.
- Processes Hold Inventory
- Participates in Physical Inventory process
- Investigates Shipping & Inventory Errors and develops root cause analysis along with Supervisor for corrective action.
- Gives direction and guidance to Hourly Forklift Operators
- Responsible to resolve all Department Sales Force cases timely and effectively.
- This position will also be responsible for responding to basic HR inquiries from employees. The inquires could include questions related to paystubs, benefits, or HR systems. This position will also be responsible for submitting and tracking payroll and leave forms and employee time keeping in Kronos system. Good judgement will be required to be able to escalate as necessary to the HR Manager.
Requirements
What do you bring?
- Associate degree preferred or 5 Years Warehouse / Supply Chain Experience with HR experience a plus
- Bi-Lingual in Spanish
- Good working knowledge of Warehouse/Shipping policies, procedures, operations, and general transportation processes.
- Attention to detail and proficiency with internal computer systems including SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Good oral communication skills
- Strong Team Leadership skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Able to support disaster recovery plans to ensure customers receive uninterrupted service during times of crisis.
- Ability to translate data into useful information.
- Excellent Attendance Practices Required
- Ability to deal calmly and effectively with high stress situations, sensitivity to other’s needs and positive demeanor.
