Crossville Ceramics is accepting applications for warehouse positions, for 2nd shift (3 pm to 11 pm). Crossville offers a competitive benefits package and 401K matching.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position fulfills the function of the CDC in maintaining, picking, and organizing product to ensure orders are processed accurately and ready for transport. This position is located in Crossville CDC, requiring attendance and adherence to scheduled and assigned work hours. Position is not a telecommuting position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: General Duties include, but are not limited to:

● Unload/load trucks within allotted time.

● Restock large pallets.

● Break down pallets.

● Pick and build orders safely and accurately.

● Cycle Count:

o Count and ensure each location is correct and corresponds to information indicated on the system.

o Ensure each location is safe and taped.

o Label tile for sample material from broken boxes and other boxes.

o Follow up on errors as reported by customers.

o Retrieve tile to be measured and photographed.

● Pick Orders:

o Use Logistics system to successfully complete orders by use of scanner, keyboard, and print stickers for products.

o Build full pallets of inventory to be shipped using a lift or hand picking, including wrapping and distributing order to right shipping dock receiving locations.

o Pack boxes for shipment (running tape machine, paper machine, making boxes, wrapping tile, and auditing materials per packing list.)

o Run finished shipments through AR Traffic, weighing and placing shipping label on box, and stacking boxes on appropriate pallets.

● Put away stock so it can be picked and shipped out.

o Put away material/inventory when it is delivered.

o Consolidate material and move material to off-site warehouses when necessary.

o Pull empty pallets from rack locations.

o Report material with manufacturing tag errors.

● Assist with receiving (returns and purchase orders) and labeling/relabeling materials.

● Sweep and clean: empty cans into hopper and dumping contents of hopper, cleaning aisles, cut plastic, tape product, sweep under racks.

● Fix fallen/broken pallets in the racks, occasionally repairing racks.

● Follow proper processes and procedures, as outlined in standard operating procedures.

● Operate a reach truck, tow motor, order picker, standing extender, pallet jack and forklift.

● Communicate effectively with co-workers, Supervisors, and other Departments as necessary.

● Follow safety guidelines and company standards. Adhere to proper PPE.

● Adhere to company policies and procedures.

● Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.

● Maintain lift and fill battery with water each time it is changed.

● Assist in other areas as needed, when your daily primary function is completed.

● Perform any other duties that may be required or assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THIS JOB:

● Climbing, bending, walking/standing 8+ hours a day, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling tile.

● Lifting 50-100 pounds, either alone or with the assistance of another employee, in conformity with lifting techniques detailed in safety policies and training materials.

● Working at heights

● Dexterity with hands for use of equipment

● Vision must be sufficient to see and locate items clearly

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Plant conditions that include all extreme weather conditions (hot and cold), and a noisy and dusty environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

● Must be at least 18 years of age

● Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

● Strong problem-solving skills

● Positive attitude and strong work ethic

● Good interpersonal skills in dealing with employees

● Must be able to work overtime as necessary and other shifts as necessary

● Must pass mandatory pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
