Primary Purpose of the Position:
Plan, organize & direct all technology activities of the Business Center team. Develop, implement, enforce & audit work procedures which ensure quality products at an economical coast. Enforce quality, legal compliance, technical standards of the product, process & material for the Business Center. Drive initiatives that promote the continuous development of QTECH associates.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Will interface with plant staff & associated technology teams & will report to Manager, Production & Manager, Quality & Technology to improve production best practices & drive strategy.
Focus upon extrusion principles, technical engineering, & compliance with customer & federal standards regarding quality & uniformity in production.
Audit, analyze & make recommendations to ensure systems & processes are followed & to solve for issues related to products quality & uniformity.
Lead & monitor activities that result in product achieving capability, waste, government/environmental standards.
Establish specifications & calibration standards foe equipment (extruder, calendar, curing bladders, etc.) & provide technical expertise as needed.
Education:
Required: Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline.
Desired: Master's Degree.
Experience:
5+ years technical leadership within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge:
Technical knowledge related to equipment processes & operation of equipment.
Knowledge of customer requirements related to product quality.
Must have strong communication, business analytical & planning skills.
Ability to manage a variety of concurrent projects.
