MRI/CT Technologist Job Description
- Full-time, permanent, direct-hire position
- The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI Tech II) provides health care services by assisting in diagnosis or treatment.
- Performs MRI procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
- Modifies technical settings and adjusts scanning parameters to enhance images and minimize unnecessary exposure.
- Performs routine inspections and maintenance on scanner and archives imaging data.
- Performs MRI exams and procedures for NICU, CCU, ED and other hospital departments as requested by the medical staff.
MRI/CT Technologist Requirements
- Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Certified MRI Technician certification
- 2 years’ of MRI previous experience in a hospital setting preferred
