Netspend is seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior GL Accountant to join its accounting and finance team.

Responsibilities:

● Assist with month-end close procedures, including account reconciliation preparation, journal entry preparation / review / approval, and analysis of assigned revenue and expense accounts

● Prepare assigned monthly financial reports analyzing variances in financial performance

● Identify, document and implement accounting policies and process improvements

● Participate in cross functional company initiatives as necessary

● Manage, account for, and analyze results associated with card inventory

● Utilize knowledge of US GAAP principles on a daily basis and perform technical research and memo writing as necessary

● Support corporate management with reporting, analysis, and special projects as needed

● Lead monthly consolidation and intercompany elimination process

● Assist with purchase accounting adjustments and opening balance sheet audit

● Assist with support of quarterly reviews and annual financial statement audit

Skills/Education/Experience:

● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

● 4+ years of Accounting experience, public accounting experience preferred

● Familiarity with foreign currency accounting and international accounting standards preferred

● CPA certification preferred

● Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting and US GAAP principles

● Possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively organize and present information and respond to questions

● Experience in analyzing large transactional volumes, preparing trend analysis, and resolving variance issues

● Ability to think independently to solve practical problems and present solutions

● Excellent Microsoft Excel skills

● Experience with ERP systems, Oracle Cloud preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
