Administrative Assistant in UCI Center for Clinical Research (CCR) will provide administrative support to the Medical Director by managing complex calendars, coordinating travel arrangements, and other general office support. Serves as liaison between the department and individuals across the School of Medicine, UCIMC, UC system, as well as faculty, staff, and vendors. Incumbent must exercise excellent judgment and discretion essential to handling sensitive and confidential matters.

$26.14 - $37.46 (Hourly Rate)

Required:
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent to minimum of 3 year experiences providing executive administrative support and management.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate easily and effectively with people. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to exercise judgment, tact, and professionalism in interactions with colleagues, students, campus and non-campus administrators and faculty, business and community leaders, and representatives from other institutions and organizations. Ability to organize a diverse workload, to prioritize projects, and to establish strategies and action-plans to achieve targeted objectives and solve problems in a strategic manner in order to organize and follow through with complex tasks to meet multiple deadlines with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Ability to design effective office systems and procedures to handle a large volume of projects, incoming materials and concurrent deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Skill in writing and editing grammatically correct business correspondence such as brief memoranda and letters from written or oral instructions Skill in editing, proofreading and preparing documents with attention to detail. Experience coordinating formal special events and working with vendors.
Preferred:
Knowledge of UC Irvine purchasing policies. Knowledge of UC Irvine travel policies and procedures. Knowledge of campus departments and their functions. Ability to be flexible in working independently as well as collaboratively with Department and staff.
