Overview

The Assistant Mobile Device Manager, under the direction and in coordination with the Mobile Device Manager, will work collaboratively with other members of the technology department to provide administration, faculty, staff, students and their families with high quality and timely support, promoting efficiency and educational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure, distribute and track mobile devices across school district.
  • Configure and distribute mobile devices (yearly) for freshman and transfer students in 1:1 high school.
  • Coordinate collection of mobile devices (yearly) from seniors and transfer students in 1:1 high school.
  • Configure and distribute mobile devices (yearly) for incoming 6th grade students.
  • Conduct periodic device inspections for 800+ students in 1:1 high school.
  • Maintain Chromebooks carts and other mobile devices at elementary schools.
  • Work with students and families to ensure students have insurance for their school issued device.
  • Respond to and resolve mobile devices support requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain inventory of mobile device hardware and coordinate distribution, repair and replacement.
  • Maintain professional attitudes and productive relationships with other staff and administration.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Technology.

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED – required.
  • Associates/Bachelor’s degree – preferred.
  • Technical certification(s) – desirable.

Experience:

  • Experience supporting a public school system is preferred.
  • Experience with Casper Suite (apple device management) by JAMF Software preferred.

Skill Requirements:

  • Knowledge of mobile technology including Apple iPads and Chromebooks.
  • Organized and able to handle multiple projects meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, maintaining a high level of productivity. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document issues keeping constituents and team members informed.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to travel (must have own transportation).
