JOB TITLE: Assistant Manager

REPORTS TO: Site Manager

LOCATION: Romeoville, IL

POSITION SUMMARY:

Rainstorm Car Wash is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Manager for our Car Wash location in Romeoville, IL. Team members start at $16.00 per hour plus commissions. As an Assistant Manager, you will be serving the company’s customers by addressing inquiries, making the customer feel welcome, explain our wash packages in addition to explaining our monthly membership plans. Additionally, in conjunction with the Site Manager, you will help ensure that the location meets and exceeds the organizations standards in leadership, customer service, safety, quality, operational excellence, and financial performance.

We then share our time, effort, and knowledge to help guide you through our Developmental Career Plan. Successful teammates who master the duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Manager role will be consider for a promotion to Site Manager when opens occur. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to successfully onboard new employees, train and coach staff, perform activities around employee engagement, and recognition
• Ensure that customers are satisfied and that any inquiries, incidents and issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Ensure the site follows all approved safety procedures
• Ensure the site follows all approved vehicle damage claim procedures
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Leadership and communication skills including active listening
• Experience with team building
• Excellent sales and customer service skills
• Ability to anticipate customer needs
• Proficient computer skills
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude

EXPERIENCE:

Three+ years of retail experience, with at least one year in a supervisory/management role. Candidates with supervisory experience from a Big box environment or auto industry, car wash or lube store are encouraged to apply.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

In performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk throughout the workday; use of hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stop, crouch and kneel. The employee must be able to work in damp and humid conditions. The employee must be able to work in outdoor variable weather conditions. The employee may have to lift and/or move objects up to 25lbs on a regular basis and occasionally up to 50lbs.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others.

This position works in a typical outdoor car wash environment. The noise level is usually moderate but can be excessively loud with hearing protection required (along with other PPE). This person must adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and protocols which means this person will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as, but not limited to hearing, eye, foot, hand protection.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

The team member must be capable of performing their responsibilities with minimal supervision.
