JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for a talented Cashier to join our team. The Cashier will greet and ring up our guests orders and help with other areas of the restaurant as needed, which includes cleaning duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate has a pleasant and courteous personality, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong customer service skills. Candidates must have good basic math skills in order to handle money accurately and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  Collects cash or processes charge payments for guests with speedy and friendly service
• Always gives a sincere and warm send off
• Ensures an accurate accounting of all transactions, collections, and disbursements during work shift
• Documents and saves all coupons, discounts, and voided transactions
• Stays up to date with menu as well as with current specials and promotions and can describe items to guests
• Sets up cash drawer and follows security procedures
• Helps with other areas of the restaurant when needed
• Completes opening and/or closing checklists
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• 
  Previous experience in a food service setting is a plus, but not required
• Must have basic math skills and the ability to handle money accurately
• Must be pleasant, personable, and friendly
• Must exhibit a sense of urgency
• Must have good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers, co-workers, management, and others
• Must be able to remain stationary for periods of up to four hours
