We are currently seeking a position for an experienced, hard working and dependable Childcare Environmental Cleaner at our 5 Star Rated quality child care center in Parkman, Ohio. The goal is to take care of our facility and classrooms in a clean and orderly environment to protect the health of others.

All Around Children is conveniently located right off of Route 422 and Route 528, with easy access from Cleveland to Warren.

Position Overview

Potential candidates will work part time shift hours with a growing and stable company. We need someone who is dependable, reliable and good attendance is a MUST. Prior to being awarded this position, the candidate elected must submit to and pass both BCI/FBI background checks.

This position is for cleaning in a childcare building and must be done everyday Monday through Friday after 5:00 pm.

All cleaning supplies and equipment provided.

Job Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Minimum of 1+ years of proven working experience as a commercial cleaner or housekeeping is essential
• Current physical and ability to pass BCI/FBI background check
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
• Prioritization and time management skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow directions
• Ability to work within specified hours
• Can work independently

Responsibilities and skills

• Comply with methods of cleaning required for areas
• Use the appropriate work equipment
• Check equipment for faults and notify the center director for minor or major repairs
• Ensure all equipment is cleaned and correctly stored after use
• Properly clean and disinfect bathroom sinks and toilets gather trash and transport to disposal area on site, wash windows, door handles, light switches and other frequently touched items, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning and refill dispensers etc.)
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Stock and maintain supply room
• Follow all health and safety regulations
• Periodically clean overhead vents and dust blinds
• Must keep cleaning supply closet neat and orderly
• Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
• Secures the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked after operating hours

Working Environment & Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel and bend for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
