Beecon of Light Recovery is hiring a Clinical Director that is interested in making a difference!

Beecon of Light Recovery provides care for both men and women ages 18 and up who struggle with drug addiction and other substance abuse issues. We assist individuals in succeeding with their long-term rehabilitation and recovery goals and as an organization specializing in substance abuse and addiction, we know that what is currently being offered out there is not working!

Provide direct therapy services for patients through individual, group and family therapy, treatment planning, discharge preparation, and collaboration with case management and program staff members.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work, Clinical Psychology, licensed professional counselor, or marriage and family therapy or related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in management
  • Must possess a current CPR/AED/First Aid Certificate
  • Four (4) years of experience in the area of adult recovery or adolescent treatment. (Preferred)

Position Description

In addition to providing direct therapy service for patients, this position is responsible for the clinical program administration including individual, group and family therapy, treatment planning, case management, and related functions. Also, supervises all therapists and coordinates the treatment of Beecon Recovery patients, including clinical staff growth and development activities including PHP, IOP, and GOP.

Skills & Competencies

  • Intervention techniques of individual, group, and family therapy in working with clients and their families. Basic knowledge of educational, psychological, family, and social work systems as related to behavioral treatment.
  • Must have a working knowledge of treatment plan development and implementation including charting, progress notes, and related documentation skills.
  • Must be familiar with and implement Beecon Recovery’s Behavior Management Training Program.
  • Must have the ability to express ideas clearly, concisely, convincingly, and effectively when addressing an audience.

Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Department personnel scheduling.
  • Oversee daily department operations.
  • Availability throughout the day for problems/questions that may arise.
  • Review notes.
  • Resolve Conflicts.
  • Create new pathways when others aren’t working well.
  • Maintain open communication with all staff and office personnel.
  • Delegate tasks between appropriate staff members.

Clinical

  • Conduct psychosocial evaluations of assigned patients.
  • Interviews and assures that the patients, parents, and significant others are interviewed to obtain data on the patient’s personal, social, developmental, and emotional history.
  • Complete and sign all Clinical Notes within 7 days of the session.
  • Complete staff note supervision and sign all Staff notes for review within 7 days of the session.
  • Maintain a small caseload of clients.
  • Review and conduct therapy on Neurofeedback patients.
  • Prepares and assures that a complete psychosocial history is done on each patient to provide information regarding physical and mental condition; hereditary, social, developmental, school environment, and personalities in the family, group, as well as patients reaction to them.
  • To supervise and conduct the weekly clinical staffing where treatment plans are formulated, updated, and discharge and aftercare plans are formulated.
  • Conduct a minimum of two (2) monthly clinical team meetings.
  • To assure continuous, appropriate, and effective communication regarding treatment progress and patient information among all personnel involved in the schools as well as with parents, referral sources, payer sources, etc.
  • Conduct regular submission and sign-off of Alleva by all staff to ensure proper oversight. All Notes MUST be completed no later than Monday at 9 AM for the prior week.
  • Assist in establishing criteria for peer review and quality assurance and improvement activities.
  • Supervise all therapists, counselors, and interns in the execution of their job descriptions and conduct yearly performance evaluations.
  • Responsible for the timely implementation of the Clinical Competency Program for all therapists, counselors, and interns.
  • Will develop, plan, and implement parenting seminars when required and appropriate.

Programing

  • Create and monitor effective programming tools (program and clinical curriculum, outcome tools, and other related tools) that support and carry out Beecon Recovery’s mission statement of the program.
  • Must consistently demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain good public relations with families, referral agencies, and other community resources.
  • May be required to present at conferences, trainings, or other gatherings on behalf of Beecon Recovery.
  • To consistently exercise good judgment and adequate emotional stability in evaluation situations and make decisions despite the pressures of deadlines or the occurrence of unexpected stressful events.
  • Assures consistency in dealing tactfully and harmoniously with staff, clients, and the public, and adheres to and follows all patients’ policies and procedures as designated and defined by the owner.

Operations

  • Assist the Director of Operations in developing new policies and procedures for the state and any accrediting body determined suitable for Beecon Recovery.
  • Assist the Director of Operations in developing the admissions screening of new Beecon Recovery applicants for appropriateness.
  • In conjunction with the Director of Operations, assist in hiring new therapists and counselors and implementation of disciplinary actions.
  • In conjunction with the Director of Operations, ensure that the program activities and conducive to the clinical goals, and that the client experience is in line with the therapeutic environment that Beecon Recovery is striving to create.
  • Assist and ensure that families are helped with the problems arising from the patient’s admission to the program.
  • Participate on committees and in professional meetings and staffing as necessary to the function of the program.
  • Meet with referral partners, other programs, potential patients, and their parents to discuss the program and Beecon Recovery’s approach to recovery/treatment.
  • Participate in program-wide PHP, IOP, and GOP activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
