Location: Bennington, Vermont
Salary up to $56,000
$2000 Sign on Bonus - The first installment is paid after 60 days and the second installment after 90 days.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Summary: The primary responsibility of the clinician is to provide clinical services and supports that are and individualized, youth-guided, trauma informed, aligned with the permanency goals of youth, and strength-based. These services include, but are not limited to individual, family, group counseling, case management, and case consultation and collaboration. We offer training in EMDR.
  • Provide individual, group, family therapy and case management services.
  • Create Individualized Treatment Plans that are strength based, address the individual needs of students and are guided by best practices in trauma informed care.
  • Serve as liaison to student’s parents, referring agency, permanency team members, and community resources as indicated by treatment and permanency plans
  • Maintain data related to clinical services and submit to Clinical Director as requested.
  • Participate in treatment, permanency and discharge planning with students, family and agency personnel involved with students.
  • Participate in clinical on call rotation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and associated documentation including but not limited to psychosocial reports, ITP’s, case notes, CAFAS reports and other required assessments, correspondence with relevant stake holders and monthly reports.
  • Provide case consultation to members of treatment team as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information in provision of services except when appropriate legal consent is given to do otherwise. Inform students of the limits of confidentiality, which includes information (1) needed to develop the treatment plan, (2) indicating the student is at risk of harming self or others, including running away behavior, (3) regarding criminal conduct of students or others, (4) indicating abuse or threat of abuse within and outside the facility.
  • Collaborate with consulting psychiatrist as it relates to medication management including the incidence of side effects.
  • Maintain clinical license or status on state registry.
  • Understand and adhere to the administrative structure, chain of command and program philosophy of VPI.
  • Appropriately represents VPI to the community, students’ parents and outside agencies.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other job-related projects and activities as requested.


Qualifications/Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience:
Master's Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
Be licensed or license eligible with expectation of being licensed within 2 years of employment. Acceptable licenses include: LISW, LCHMC, LMHC, PC, LPC, PSY or related/equivalent.
Experience working with children and/or adolescents.
Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
Excellent intrapersonal and organizational skills.

  • Valid driver's license preferred & 21 + years of age.
