We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our government contracting team in the DC area. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of federal contracting regulations and procedures, as well as experience managing a variety of contracts in a government contracting environment. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing the entire contract lifecycle, including proposal development, contract negotiation, administration, and closeout.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the entire contract lifecycle for government contracts, including pre-award activities such as proposal development, as well as post-award activities such as contract administration and closeout.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal contracting regulations and procedures, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions with government customers and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, program management, and business development, to ensure successful contract performance.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with government customers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor contract performance, including tracking deliverables, monitoring funding and burn rates, and preparing regular reports.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with contract performance and compliance.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on contract management best practices and policies.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures related to contract management.

Minimum Required Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or related field. Master's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in government contracting, with at least 3 years of experience in contract management
  • In-depth knowledge of federal contracting regulations and procedures, including FAR and DFARS
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with government customers and subcontractors
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with government contract proposal development is a plus
  • Experience with either Deltek or Jamis is preferable
