Contract Sales Consultant

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced, analytical, and detail-oriented Sales Consultant to contract with our firm. The Sales Consultant will be responsible for auditing the sales team, identifying areas for improvement, developing new scripts, procedures, and sales parameters to optimize performance. They will report directly to management, providing updates on identified issues and recommended changes. The Sales Consultant will also closely monitor phone calls and written communications between the sales team and customers to ensure the highest level of service is being provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Team Auditing:

● Conduct audits of the sales team to identify areas of improvement and potential errors.

● Evaluate sales team performance against established KPIs and goals.

● Review sales data and analyze trends to identify areas of strength and weakness within the team.

Script and Procedure Development:

● Create, revise, and optimize sales scripts to enhance communication with customers and increase sales effectiveness.

● Develop and implement new sales procedures and processes to improve overall efficiency and productivity.

● Continuously refine and update scripts and procedures based on team performance and customer feedback.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

● Listen to phone calls and review written communications between the sales team and customers to evaluate adherence to scripts, procedures, and sales best practices.

● Prepare detailed reports on sales team performance, highlighting any areas of concern and recommending appropriate changes.

● Present performance reports and suggested improvements to management, working collaboratively to implement changes as needed.

Sales Training and Coaching:

● Provide training and coaching to the sales team, ensuring they understand and adhere to established scripts, procedures, and sales parameters.

● Identify skill gaps within the sales team and develop targeted training programs to address those areas.

● Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the sales team.

Interdepartmental Collaboration:

● Work closely with other departments, including marketing and customer service, to ensure a seamless customer experience and alignment with overall company objectives.

● Share insights and best practices with other departments to support cross-functional collaboration and organizational growth.

Sales Strategy and Planning:

● Assist in the development and execution of sales strategies and plans to achieve company revenue goals.

● Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential threats.

● Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices to inform sales strategy and team development.

Requirements:

● Minimum 6 years of Sales Consultant Experience

● References of other firms you have consulted with

● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas of improvement and develop effective solutions.

● Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

● Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work.

● Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

● Proficient in CRM software and other sales tools.

● Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers alike.

● Adept at multitasking and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $60.00 per hour
