Carey & Company, P.A., a Hilton Head Island CPA firm with a second office in Bluffton is seeking a full-time staff accountant or senior accountant with 2-5 years experience.

Responsibilities will include tax planning and preparation of corporate, partnership, fiduciary and individual tax returns. Experience with not-for-profit and homeowner association income tax returns is a plus. Researching and resolving client tax issues to include representing the clients with the taxing authorities as pertains to federal and state audits. Some bookkeeping using Quickbooks will be required.

We are a well-established firm providing accounting, payroll, tax and auditing services to a wide variety of corporate, home-owner association, not-for profit and individual clients. Candidate should have excellent organizational and communication skills to work with clients and staff in a professional manner and meet deadlines required by federal, state and local requirements. This position typically requires overtime work during tax season.
