Amentum is seeking a Crane Technician to work on 1st shift industrial maintenance to join our team in Davenport, IA. Within Amentum, our group provides facilities and production maintenance services for our clients’ industrial, manufacturing, distribution, pharmaceutical, and commercial sites worldwide. We run our own crews of Production Maintenance Techs, CNC Service Techs, Automation Techs, Industrial Electricians, Maintenance Mechanics, Industrial HVAC Techs, Logistics / Crib Management, Planner/ Schedulers, Supervisors, and safety professionals inside our customers’ facilities to keep their infrastructure operating smoothly. Typical hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., overtime and hours may vary based on customer demand.

Responsibilities:

• Responds to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive and corrective maintenance on the facility hoists, cranes and other mechanical equipment and systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required.
• Identifies and corrects any safety-related issues and performs independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures.
• Performs general Maintenance of equipment.
• Works in environments 6 to 30 ft above ground
• Travels to other sites when required (in the local Moline, Davenport, or QC area)

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• 3 years of experience troubleshooting cranes and hoists OR 1 year of mechanical experience along with a tech school certification in
• Industrial maintenance or related facility maintenance discipline.
• Crane certification isn't required to start but you must be able to obtain - we will help you become certified.
• Must have the ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Must be willing to travel locally up to 50%
• Must be able to lift or carrying up to 50 lbs.; stand and/or walk for prolonged/extensive amounts of time; can use a ladder or lift and work on structures or equipment above ground level; work in cramped or uncomfortable places and positions; can push, pull, or lift heavy equipment, supplies or parts.
