The GSK US Oncology team is looking for a Director, Cross Portfolio Strategy. This individual will be responsible for working with matrix partners toward the common goal of delivering a unified, best in class critical organizational capabilities to meet the evolving landscape. As the Director Cross Portfolio Strategy will be responsible for driving and enhancing capabilities for the Oncology Business Unit in the critical areas: Omni-channel evolution, Health Professional Associations, Tier 1 Congress Strategy, and Innovation investments across the portfolio.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

Omni Channel Capabilities OBU Lead

  • Will be the OBU “Omni-channel Lead” ensuring the stand-up of new operational model, and ongoing leadership of the Omni-Channel Forum and Impact Team with the goal of delivering best in class, nimble digital experiences at PACE.
  • Ensure KPI measurement of key digital initiatives, leverage learnings across the portfolio.
  • Work in close partnership with key partners (Brand(s), Tech, Insights and Analytics etc) to deliver industry leading, data driven Omnichannel capabilities.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends and technologies to identify and prioritize continued enhancement of capabilities.

Relationship lead for Key Health Professional Associations

  • For assigned organizations, act as the GSK Relationship Manager for Key Health Professional Associations (HPAs) delivering a seamless customer experience with the goal of building long term, mutually beneficial relationship with HPA’s with shared understanding of each other’s missions, values, goals and priorities.
  • As part of the role of the HPA’s Relationship Manager, serve as the central point of contact, ensuring internal alignment and awareness of activities across GSK in close collaboration with internal matrix partners (Medical, Market Access, Policy, Patient Engagement, Brand etc).
  • Ensure GSK overall and OBU Commercial are optimizing HPA membership benefits to support our business priorities and objectives. Collaborate across matrix and ensure relevant stakeholders are notified of opportunities for engagement as they arise. Lead decision making on HPA requests for GSK representation for events.

Tier 1 Congress Strategy Lead

  • Responsible for setting overall US strategy for top tier Oncology Congresses delivering a strong GSK Oncology presence and maximizing opportunities. (ASH, ASCO, SGO etc)
  • Coordination across matrix partners to deliver a cohesive, cross functional presence (Brands, Global, Medical etc.) providing an exceptional customer experience.
  • Oversight of overall resource investment, focusing on KPI’s and benchmarking and identification of further opportunities to enhance GSK Oncology presence.

OBU Innovation Acceleration

  • Continuous innovation is a priority across the OBU. This role will be responsible for creation of a “shark tank” like forum, encouraging potential investment ideas from across the OBU.
  • Monitoring of progress against prioritized innovation initiatives, measure progress, resource utilization and impact in market. Oversight of innovation budget and investment decision process.
  • Monitor ongoing oncology environment and trends and provide ongoing updates to leadership.
  • Coordinate with specialty GPO Relationship Manager and brands to identify opportunities of aligned areas of potential partnership and identification of fee for service and/or sponsorship activities aligned to GSK Oncology and brand priorities.
  • Leadership of OBU cross portfolio initiatives.

Why You?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years in Pharmaceutical Industry, in marketing or marketing support function.
  • Should be able to work some weekends, approximately 20% travel within the US.
  • Previous experience effectively working across a matrix environment and influence without formal authority.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience inspiring, leading and influencing innovation and synergies across teams, including exceptional cross functional partnering skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA/MS or MA
  • Prior experience in Oncology Marketing, Sales or related function.
  • Prior experience working directly with customers.
  • Pharmaceutical digital marketing experience.
  • Self-starter with proven decision making, strategic thinking, problem solving, oral/written communication skills and large scale project management.
  • Strong understanding of the US healthcare ecosystem and market
  • Demonstrated ability to apply insights to drive high impact business decisions.
