Job description
Mitsubishi Electric Power Products Inc., (MEPPI) is looking for a Drafter to support company and customer drawings using computerized drafting software under direction of HVSD Applications Engineering staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Make drawings and create basic layouts for Company products in collaboration with Applications Engineers and Designers.
- Make customized CAD files for customers’ requirements.
- Create drawing files and keep them updated according to Company procedures.
- Support and make recommendations to improve Company policies and procedures.
- Support and assist the Applications Engineer Section Manager as needed.
- Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Company by conducting business with MEPPI departments, visitors, and callers in a timely and cooperative manner.
- High School diploma and completion of certified drafting training program and a minimum of 0-2 years of computer-based mechanical and/or electrical drafting, or equivalent education and experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of 3D drawing systems and techniques.
- Intermediate interpersonal communication skills required to communicate with employees.
- Intermediate analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and create technical drawings, blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Intermediate computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office and drafting software.
