Job description
School of the Incarnation is seeking qualified candidates for a full time facilities staff member to oversee, and perform routine maintenance of school buildings and property. This position reports directly to the Campus Operations Manager and School Principal and works collaboratively with other facilities staff. Must have availability to respond to on-call emergencies. The start time for this position is 6 a.m.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assures of safe operation of the school facility daily.
- Reviews, leads, and coordinates the activities of building service workers or contractors. Inspects custodial services performed by third party custodial company and communicates special needs.
- Performs preventative maintenance and makes minor repairs and adjustments to equipment.
- Responds to requests from administration and faculty for custodial services during the school day.
- Assists in the set up and preparation for special activities.
- Maintains and inventories janitorial and housekeeping supplies.
- Develops and implements summer/break cleaning schedules and winter snow removal activities.
- Performs regular maintenance and upkeep schedule on all equipment.
- Works with Campus Operation Manager, Principal and Business Manager on developing and projecting maintenance budget
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or an appropriate equivalent
- Minimum of four years experience in a similar environment including supervisory duties
- Previous experience and knowledge of operation, maintenance, and adjustment of boilers/facilities HVAC equipment, basic custodial services, and other skilled trades strongly preferred.
- Effective spoken and written communication skills
- Must have a commitment to Catholic School education
