Summary: As a key member of the Leadership team, the Financial Manager oversees all financial activities including management of operations, risk management and financial information management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Directs accounting department operations, budget preparation, and audit functions.

· Oversee the issuance of financial information: Control financial data (P&L, balance, cash flows, general ledgers, specific reports) and its translation into financial reports for both statutory and consolidation reporting purposes.

· Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile: Understand the business drivers and actively participate in aligning the local activity with the strategic planning: market trends, emerging technologies, competitor offers.

· Reviews financial reports and analyzes projections of sales and profit against actual results and budget guidelines.

· Report financial results to the board of directors: Analyzes and reports financial statements and financial performance to senior management.

· Oversee the compliance with Local GAAP: Ensure strict compliance / specific entries regarding local purposes.

· Monitor monthly industrial and commercial performance: Costs projection, variance analysis, standard cost vs actual costs, proposal for mitigation and decision to optimize profitability of the operations.

· Monitor monthly expenses vs budget per functional area: Review spending per area and challenge area leaders in their monthly performance assessment and the progress of their mitigation plan to achieve budget.

· Monitor productivity: Assess financial profitability of operations improvement and control timely implementation and impact on overall financial performance.

· Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts: Review cash forecast and analyze deviation and needs. Detect, elaborate and implement cash improvement solutions (work trade capital, capital expenditures).

· Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements: Including all finance and legal items related to corporate sustainability programs.

· Maintains and administers banking and other financial arrangements. Duties include maintaining lines of credit, preparation of loan request packages and overseeing bank balances.

· Account Payable & Receivable.

· Financial Statements preparation: cash flow statement, Income statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of retained earnings, notes to financial statements.

· Knowledge and experience in Canada existing Finance and Accounting GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), ASPE (Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).

· Other duties required from time to time.

Qualifications/Abilities:

Job Experience/Educational Expertise:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance required.

· CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) or Finance Designation holder or working towards to obtain as an asset.

· Knowledge and experience in Canada of existing Finance and Accounting GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), ASPE (Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises | IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards as an asset).

· 5-10 years of successful experience in planning, organizing, developing, controlling, and reporting of all operational financial results.

· Advanced Microsoft office skills

· Has a strong strategic vision of a successful processing organization’s accounting department.

· Acquires and applies professional/technical knowledge, skills, experience, and judgment to accomplish results, serve customers better and contribute to the organization’s intellectual capital.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
