JOB SUMMARY:
The Utilities Division is looking for an experienced Craft Foreman for current and upcoming project needs across San Antonio who will support the Utilities team with installing and maintaining URD Transformers, J Boxes and Secondary enclosures per plans and specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Write, review, and submit URD Procedures to CPS Energy system operations
- Remove, replace and install URD transformers, J boxes, and secondary enclosures
- Remove, replace, and install overhead and underground primary and secondary risers
- Splicing/trouble shooting secondary electric cables
- Install and repair streetlight cables
- Switch and operate URD LBS transformers-hot switch LBS and HVL transformers
- Switch and operate URD "R" overhead to underground primary switches
- Assist other craft crews
- Assist management team to assure that all deadlines are met in a timely manner
- Follow all CPS Energy and HJD Capital Electric safety policies and guidelines
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- PREFERRED: Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Texas
- PREFERRED: Valid CDL holder
- Experience working on streetlights cables
- Ability to size wire, read drawings, and interpret blueprints
- Ability to make up panels and transformers (terminating)
