Position: Freelance Publicist
Location: Remote
Hours: Part-time, flexible hours (60-75 hours monthly)
Payment: Hourly starting at $25.00/hr

Infinite Quest Media is seeking a skilled and experienced freelance publicist to join our team to expand our media reach and brand awareness in the realms of ADHD education and advocacy, (particularly neurodivergent relationships and intimacy) as well as our work in the TTRPG/DnD space to make tabletop role-playing games more inclusive and accessible for neurodivergent brains. Position will expand in 2024 to include promoting and publicizing a new publication project through to launch.

This is a remote position with flexible working hours. Infinite Quest is based in Atlanta in the Eastern Time Zone.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic public relations campaigns to generate buzz, promote our podcast, increase brand visibility and media awareness, and drive publication sales
• Create well-written, concise, and persuasive pitch emails, press releases, social media posts and content
• Revamp and refine exsiting media, website and marketing materials for clarity, structure and vision
• Cultivate and leverage existing relationships with print and television media contacts to secure media coverage, interviews, and features
• Identify and establish new media relationships within relevant outlets to expand the brand's reach and visibility
• Research and provide outreach to colleges, universities, conferences and conventions in the United States and abroad to book speaking engagements
• Generate creative campaign ideas, collaborations, and brand/media partnerships
• Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, track media coverage, and provide regular reports with actionable insights and recommendations for optimization
• Stay up to date with industry trends, social media platforms, and best practices for effective promotion and engagement.
• Maintain professionalism, effective communication, and timely responses when liaising with the content creator, media professionals, and other stakeholders.
• Respond promptly to inquiries, provide additional information as requested, and maintain open lines of communication to facilitate positive working relationships
• Craft compelling narratives and story angles that highlight our unique perspectives and growing social media brand

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in public relations, preferably with a focus on podcast, social media and publishing promotion
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt writing styles to different platforms and audiences
• Familiarity with ADHD/mental health content
• Candidate must be comfortable promoting educational content that deals with relationships and intimacy
• While not required for the position, a basic familiarity with TTRPGs like Dungeons and Dragons is preferred
• Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas for promotions and collaborations
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines as they arise
• Proficiency in tracking and analyzing campaign data to evaluate success and make data-driven recommendations
• Existing relationships with print and television media contacts are highly desirable
• Remote work experience and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate and engage with media professionals
