Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information


The Wellstar College of Health and Human Services houses the Department of Exercise Science and Sport Management (ESSM).

ESSM is a dynamic unit offering undergraduate sports science degrees in Exercise Science and Sport Management with pre-professional preparation options as well as a minor in Nutritional Science and graduate degrees in Exercise and Science and Prosthetics & Orthotics.

Job Summary


Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions in the Department of Exercise Science and Sport Management for the academic year 2023-2024. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Area of Specialization: Prosthetics and Orthotics
  • Teaching face to face lecture and laboratory courses to support the graduate program in Prosthetics and Orthotics.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • An earned Masters Degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Prosthetics and Orthotics, or a terminal degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a related field is required.
  • National board certification from the American Board for Certification in orthotics, prosthetics, and pedorthics.
  • Must be eligible for licensure as required by the State of Georgia.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior teaching experience including familiarity with prosthetics and orthotics laboratories
  • Evidence of teaching and working with a culturally and an ethnically diverse community
