JOB DESCRIPTION

Saint Michael's College is seeking applications from dependable and efficient workers to fill two Monday-Friday custodial positions. One of the positions has a shift of Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM. The other position has a shift of Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Successful candidates will join a team that cleans College buildings, including dormitories, restrooms, offices, and classrooms. Training will be provided for the right candidates.

Requirements:

Applicants should have the following:

  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be able to follow both written and oral instructions
  • Duties may require the physical ability to do heavy custodial work, lift 26-50 pounds, and the ability to climb a stepladder approximately 10 feet
  • Knowledge of floor care, carpet cleaning, cleaning chemicals, and custodial equipment preferred
  • Basic computer skills or a willingness to learn basic computer skills preferred

An offer of employment will be contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, driving record check (if applicable), and a pre-employment physical screening, which is designed to assess the candidate’s ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
