Crayons to Classrooms Fund Development Manager
Summary
The Fund Development Manager creates and implements the fundraising activities for annual donors and foundations in support of Crayons to Classrooms’ mission, including the management and implementation of annual appeals to individual donors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Implement Crayons to Classrooms fund development strategy as directed by the Director of Development, Executive Director and delineated in the strategic plan approved by the board of directors:
  • With Director of Development, set annual fundraising goals for annual donors (less than $1,000) and foundations.
  • Execute fundraising plan through direct mail appeals, personal solicitations, grant writing, in-store events, and other activities.
  • Write and complete grant applications and reporting in collaboration with Development Associate.
  • Responsible for planning and implementing annual donor cultivation, stewardship and recognition activities.
  • Create and update online giving pages through OneCause platform.
  • Develop good relationships with current and potential donors in the community.
  • Manage and maintain individual and organizational donor database (Salesforce).
  • Develop In-Kind Donor cultivation in collaboration with Operations Manager.
  • Evaluate and communicate annual giving and grant results to the Director of Development.
  • Work with Marketing Coordinator to plan and implement fundraising component of Stuff the Bus.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree required with studies in marketing, fundraising and development, or nonprofit business administration desired.
  • At least three (3) years related job experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Ability to work and function well in a team environment with people from diverse backgrounds is a must.
  • Experience in grant writing.
  • Database management experience, Salesforce or similar software preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Qualifications
Must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider.
Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
