What will you do

Are you interested in working on a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative team to grow market leading brands? The Customer Development Manager (CDM) is the job for you! The CDM leads the customer relationship and selling responsibilities for Johnson & Johnson's Hair Care businesses at Target. In addition, this role develops and implements joint business plans that align to Target's category and J&J's brand growth strategies. This role monitors key business metrics to track progress and adjust the plan as needed to deliver annual quotas. Additionally, the CDM uses business analytics to influence Target and company decision making at senior management levels. The CDM leads creating impactful, insights-based presentations in order to translate sales objectives into customer strategy. The CDM will also be the voice of the customer to influence internal brand plans/strategies to secure the resources to unlock distribution, merchandising, and promotion plans that deliver growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • This role is accountable for achieving annual shipment, consumption and share goals and growth.
  • The CDM leads a trade promotion budget and strives for an optimal return on investment and ensures internal/external alignment, while growing and maintaining relationships with key business partners.
  • Core responsibilities include but are not limited to: developing and carrying out business plans to deliver sales results, including enhancing volume potential, increasing merchandising effectiveness, growth of product group(s) and brand share.
  • The CDM is responsible for accurate forecasting of monthly sales by franchise and/or brand and special packs/displays, leading annual business planning process within assigned account(s).
  • The CDM role will use internal and customer business systems to lead and improve plans (i.e., LYNX and EDGE); regularly reconcile payments and update promotional plans to remain within budget.

Qualifications

What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in a consumer package goods environment with a minimum of 2 years of direct sales experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and to successfully lead multiple projects/initiatives.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and to interpret, communicate and negotiate complex business situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Strong analytical / computer skills, including MS Office Suite applications, sales database, and web applications is a requirement.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $113,000 - $195,000
