Urgently Hiring Medical Assistants for one of Long Island's largest Healthcare Systems!

Location: West Islip (Additional openings within East Hills and Great Neck)

Description:

• Room patients
• Perform measuring and recording of patient's vital signs including height, weight, blood pressure & pulse
• Record patient information and reason for visit in EMR system
• Perform certain diagnostic tests such as EKG and assist physician with certain medical procedures, as needed
• Collect, label and route specimens according to standard procedures
• Prepare patient records prior to visit by ensuring that required lab results and documentation are entered in the medical record for practitioner review
• Ensure all patients needs and questions are answered, as well as communicated with physician

Qualifications:

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program
